Guided Access Mode

Guided Access Mode

To prevent screen time outs after periods of inactivity when running Darkroom Booth for iPad at an event, you need to enable Guided Access Mode on your iPad.

Guided Access Mode also restricts the user to the app that is open. This means when running events, guests will not be able to exit Darkroom Booth for iPad.

However, a commonly reported issue with iOS12 is that even with Guided Access Mode switched on, the screen still times out.

Here's how you can fix the bug.

1. Display and Brightness Settings

From your iPad's settings:
> Select Display & Brightness
> Select Auto-Lock
> Select Never

2. Guided Access Mode

From your iPad's settings:
> Select  General
> Select Accessibility
> Select Guided Access
> Enable Guided Access Mode
> Enable Mirror Display Auto Lock
