Dark Live View on my Canon Camera?

Issue: If your prints are coming out fine but your live view is dark.

Step 1

Make sure you have the option for external flash exposure compensation checked.




Step 2

On some higher-end Canon cameras, they have an option for "Exposure Simulation". This option should be disabled.
