Darkroom Core and Pro 2025 is a free upgrade with a current maintenance plan.

  • Barcodes now allow multiline text so could be used for VCARD in QR code.

  • Handles certain progressive jpeg images which were failing to load
  • Handles loading Adobe photoshop zero-compression images
  • Supports HEIC image format to read images copied directly from iPhones (helpful for labs printing phone images)
  • Supports .webp file format (helpful for people downloading graphics off internet as now .webp can be inserted into a template)
  • Allows saving to .XBDR from template editor.  Currently still defaults to .CRD but can be changed to .XBDR.
  • AE: improved handling of accented characters when doing case-insensitive comparisons
  • EXIF data support for .PNG files

  • Distribute prints to desktop printers with same print media

  • iPhone email not displaying html correctly if eventgallery link is inserted into an html email body

Important: Microsoft has discontinued support of Windows 7 and 8, therefore Darkroom can no longer support these operating systems. For best results, please update to Windows 10.

Maintenance Plan: Darkroom Pro and Core 9.3 includes 1 year of software updates and support, also called your software maintenance plan. An additional year of updates and support (maintenance) is $95 for for Darkroom Core Edition and $195 for Darkroom Pro. When your maintenance plan expires, your software will continue to function, but you will not have access to support or the latest versions. If your maintenance has been expired for more than a year, the upgrade price goes to $195 for Core and $495 for Pro.
